A holiday shopping event for kids at Ridgeway Apartments in Bemidji – Bemidji Pioneer | Jobs Reply

BEMIDJI — In a small apartment building full of holiday cheer, Ridgeway Neighborhood Initiative volunteers held a Christmas shopping event where children could choose gifts for their family members.

Held at the organization’s Ridgeway Court IV facility, 29 children participated in the event, which took place on Tuesday, December 20, and Wednesday, December 21.

Besides hot chocolate and sugar cookies, children can choose from a wide variety of gifts to give to their parents, siblings and other family members. The gifts were then wrapped on site by volunteers and sent home to each family.

Over 120 gifts were given out during the event, and each child was able to choose a stuffed animal to take home.
