JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – It’s starting to look a lot like Christmas! And with that comes fun holiday events across the metro.

Below are some special events that can be fun for the whole family.

The Magic of Lights the entire show will be at the Brandon Amphitheater November 18 until New Year’s Eve

The display features over two million lights that display your favorite Christmas themes and stories.

The way it works is to walk along a mile and a half path. On each side you have colorful lights flashing and dancing.

While the show is in town, around 20,000 cars are expected to navigate the busy road.

They are tickets $19 online, $25 at the entrance It is open every day at 17:30 until at 22:30

Christmas Candlelight Tour It will be held at the Mississippi Museum of History, the Mississippi Civil Rights Museum, the Mississippi State Capitol, the Mississippi Governor’s Mansion, the Old Capitol Museum, and the Mississippi Museum of Art.

It will happen on Friday December 2from at 16:00 to at 20:00 and will feature live music, holiday decorations, candy, model trains and shopping.

Capital Lights is a free event that kicks off the holiday season on Friday, December 2 in at 16:00 The event will take place outside the Town Hall, with the opportunity to meet Santa Claus. Attendees can also bake Christmas cookies and enjoy live entertainment.

Dress up in your most festive pajamas and help kick off everyone’s favorite holiday exhibit, a trip to the North Pole. With additional special hours of fun, holiday programming and a photo op with Santa, this is an event you won’t want to miss.

Enter the Mississippi Museum Store Holiday Open House Conference Saturday, December 3in the hours at 11:00

The event will be free to the public and will feature food and beverage samples from Mississippi vendors, artist and baker networking opportunities, light music, membership and donor information, and special discounts on merchandise.

Lakeshore Church “The Way of Birth” he’s back!

The free, lively and guided birth will be on Friday, December 9and on Saturday December 10from at 18:00 to at 22:00

The church is located off I-55 South at Exit 85 at 6880 S. Siwell Road in Byram, Mississippi.

The Mississippi Chorus will perform in concert, “Christmas Stories”on saturday night December 17

Christmas stories will be celebrated at 19:00 in the auditorium Ridgeland High School.

The concert will feature performances by the Mississippi Chorus, The Grande Chorus and The Master Chorale, and the Mississippi Symphony Orchestra.

General admission tickets are currently on sale online $20 and will also be available at the door. $15 student cards will be available at the door.

Children under the age of five can enter for free in office

On December 31st, Mississippi’s Children’s Museum a Noon New Year’s Eve countdown to 12:00

Fill the rocket with New Year’s wishes and watch as it explodes on the countdown to noon. Enjoy special programming throughout the day as we ring in the New Year.
