BATON ROUGE, La. (LOUISIANA WEEKEND) – It’s the weekend before Christmas and there’s plenty to do in and around Baton Rouge. Check out our guide to the best events happening this weekend. We have events for families, and for adults only.

Snow and sparkle in holiday lights

Enjoy a 5-ton snow pit, glitter performers, music, food trucks and photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus. It is an event for families. Bring waterproof shoes to play in the snow. Bring a camera to take photos with Santa.

Diamonds Are Forever Christmas Party 2022

It’s a great holiday party for classic ladies and gentlemen looking for holiday glitz and glamour. Attire is cocktail/semi-formal

Amahl and night visitors

This event is presented by Opera Louisiane. This show is based on the Italian folktales of the Nativity and Epiphany. Gian Carlo Menotti’s Amahl and the Night Visitor tells the story of the Magi from the point of view of a crippled boy named Amahl who lives in Bethlehem.

Holiday Bliss Capital’s Christmas Experience

This is the final blow of the Holidays. The dress code is bow ties and trendy Christmas colors. Live music by the Universal Language Band, as well as music by DJ Rod B and DJ Pleasure. It was presented by CW Productions, the same company that hosted The Harlem Nights Affair.

This show is presented by the Baton Rouge Ballet.
