Bharti Airtel with Apollo Hospitals announced on Thursday that they have performed India’s first
In this study, Airtel’s 5G technology was used to detect colon cancer faster and more accurately through the use of AI. This technology has extremely low latency and high processing capacities.
HealthNet Global, AWS, and Avesha are the other three companies that collaborated on this study.
The company mentioned that AI-assisted colonoscopy polyp detection trials will help doctors improve the quality of patient care and improve the accuracy of detection rates by correctly capturing information and reducing errors.
“By improving the doctor’s ability to recognize, AI has been shown to improve doctor’s accuracy. Early detection and removal of polyps can easily prevent them from becoming cancerous. Apollo has always been at the forefront of introducing technology. Our patient-centric approach keeps us on track to look toward technologies that can improve outcomes,” said Sangita Reddy, joint managing director, Apollo Hospitals Group, in a statement.
The use of 5G, edge computing and artificial intelligence can support correct and timely diagnoses, which can lead to improved patient outcomes.
