Is this the end of the Toyota Camry V6? | Jobs Reply

Shipments of the new Toyota Camry have started arriving. Toyota dealerships across the country have been welcoming the arrival of the 2023 Camry for the past few weeks. And while there aren’t major changes, we certainly have plenty to discuss.

2023 Camry Changes

This is not a model year for a complete Toyota Camry redesign. We are not even getting a vehicle refresh.

However, the Camry SE Nightshade Edition is new and looks great. Buyers can find this eye-catching beauty in SE front-wheel drive, SE all-wheel drive and SE Hybrid.

The 2023 Toyota Camry TRD has a new signature color – Underground. Also, look for a new red and black striped seat insert design.

We’ll see Cavalry Blue across the board from the 2022 Camry TRD to the Camry SE and 2023 Camry XSE sedans.

But what about the V6 engine – where can we get it for the 2023 Camry?

People interested in more power than the Camry’s standard 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine may want to step up to the V6 engine. As in previous years, this V6 will be available in the Camry XLE, Camry XSE, and Camry TRD.

Look for a 3.5-liter V6 engine that produces 301 horsepower and 267 lb-ft. The torquey V6 rides smooth and comfortable with solid acceleration.

I recently reviewed a 2023 Camry XLE V6 for my “ToyotaJeff Reviews” YouTube channel. I hope you find my video interesting and helpful in your vehicle research.

Outlook for 2024 Toyota Camry

While I don’t have any concrete information to confirm or deny this, my guess is that we’ll have a completely redesigned 2024 Camry.

The Toyota Camry was last redesigned for the 2018 model year. Things can lean towards a new body style based on this cycle alone. It just seems like time.

Also, in a year when nearly every Toyota model is receiving the new Toyota Audio multimedia system, the 2023 Camry doesn’t (well, along with the Tacoma and 4Runner and Sienna). Is this a sign that we are going to have more upcoming “new Toyota Camry”?

I’d guess (at least for now) the Camry won’t carry over the V6 engine, instead opting for a turbocharged four-cylinder for its power and efficiency. The Highlander has opted for a turbo four instead of its tried-and-true V6 for 2023. It makes sense that the Camry follows suit.

So, if you really want to buy a Toyota Camry with a V6 engine, my advice is to jump in soon.

Time for your Toyota Camry comment

Are you looking forward to the redesigned Toyota Camry? Do you think it will be here for the 2024 or 2025 model year?

Would you buy a turbocharged Camry? Why or why not?

Thanks for reading everyone. See you in the next story.
