Last Minute Gifts? Use CNET Shopping to Search for the Best Deals | Jobs Reply

There’s less than a week until Christmas, and your gift shopping is in full swing. But are you really getting the best price on that last minute gift? That’s where CNET Shopping comes in. This browser extension used to be known as Priceblink, and recently became part of the CNET family. Once installed, it rides when you shop at many of your favorite online stores — Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy and Target, to name a few — where it will ensure you get the best deals (among the stores we cover).

It has three main features — here’s how it works.

Three ways to save

When you install the CNET shopping extension, you’ll unlock three ways to save money while shopping online.

Price comparison: Once you’ve installed the extension, point your browser at a product page at any major online retailer — Amazon, Target, Walmart and the like — and CNET Shopping will quickly search the web for the best deals. Although it is not intuitive, it usually provides a very good overview of the competitive prices among the top web stores. You’ll know right away that you’re getting the best price, or you can leapfrog the competition.

Coupon finder: Did you know you could be missing out on free rebates when you shop online? With CNET Shopping included, you’ll be immediately notified of applicable coupon codes available on the site where you shop — including checkout scans to confirm any last-minute deals.

Price tracking: Do you want to buy something, but are you waiting for the sale to start? With CNET Shopping’s price tracker, you can do just that. For some products from supported retailers, you’ll see an “Add Price Alert” button (as shown below) that will add that product to your personal tracking list. If and when it reaches the discount percentage you specify, you will be notified so you can jump into the auction.
