Mendocino Theater Company Improv Showcase

Mendocino Theater Company, in partnership with Parents and Friends, Inc., proudly presents PFI Players’ weekend production of the 2022 Improv Showcase on December 16th at 7:30pm and December 17th at 2pm at the Mendocino Theater. There is no cost to attend this event. The collection of short, improvisational vignettes seeks to “bridge authentic connection to community.” Admission is free, and donations are welcome.

Friday Free Clothes Pop-Up Swap

Festival of Lights

The 12th Annual Festival of Lights transforms the Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens into a spectacular display of brilliant color. The Festival of Lights will run rain or shine every Friday, Saturday and Sunday evening from November 25th through December 18th. Find a unique gift for your loved one in the gift shop and grab a hot drink and some treats at the Holiday Cafe. . Tickets to the Festival of Lights are $10 each, and children 16 and under are free. Advanced tickets are required for sale at the Festival of Lights or in the gift shop. Enjoy the Mendocino Coastal Botanical Gardens this vacation, where beautiful flowers and incredible waves combine with good cheer and dazzling lights for an experience you won’t soon forget. Third Monday Music: Open Mic Night

Third Monday Music’s open mic night show at the Arena Theater on December 19th will be a Holiday Jam featuring Bryn & Blue Velvet, Buckridge Racket Club, sign-up for all artists begins at 7:00pm, and the show begins at 7:30pm with the youth. then adult activities and groups. It is open to all musicians who want to play on stage and play some original songs, Christmas songs or cover songs. The theater provides drums, keyboards, amplifiers, microphones and sound and lighting, so all you have to do is bring your instruments and your talent! Even ugly sweaters are welcome! There will be prizes for the best. Ticket price is $10 for musicians and guests. The theater bar will also be open.

Fort Bragg Vaccine Clinic

On Mondays, Mendocino County Public Health at 120 West Fir Street in Fort Bragg offers all vaccines, including 3rd doses and boosters for the immune-compromised. The schedule is from 8:00 to 17:00. Monday Mushroom Walks

Take a guided tour of the Mushroom Collection at the Mendocino Coastal Botanical Garden. The garden hosts more than 160 species of mushrooms in autumn and winter. Enjoy an identification walk and learn about the mushroom tradition with naturalist and mycologist Mario Abreu on Monday evenings. $15 per participant and includes admission to the gardens for the day. Open House at Sea Star Studios

Sea Star Studios will be holding an open house on Tuesday, December 20th from 10am to 2pm with free Jingle Jam Music classes at 10.30am or 12pm for families with five children. There will be hot drinks and healthy snacks, and a holiday craft project: your child can make their own tinsel bracelet. Shop for educational tools, books and toys, as well as unique gifts for all ages.

COVID testing at Fort Bragg

The Mendocino Coastal Clinic offers free screening for COVID-19 (for people without symptoms) from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm on Wednesday and Thursday. The tests are different and processed differently. If you have symptoms, call the Clinic at 707-964-1251 for an evaluation and to see if you should be tested. If you have been pregnant, please wait 3 to 4 days before requesting a test. You won’t get a true result if the test is done too soon after exposure. The location is 205 South Street.

Albion Food Pantry
