Motorola has launched two new devices – the Moto X40 and the Moto G53 5G in China. Both smartphones are expected to launch in India as well, but the date for that is not yet known. The Moto X40 is supposed to be a successor to the Moto X30 and is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, a 165 Hz OLED display and a 50 MP triple camera setup, among other things. Motorola is expected to launch the Moto X40 in India under the Moto Edge 40 name. Meanwhile, another handset – the Moto G53 5G – will come with a 50MP primary camera and a 5000mAh battery. Moto X40: price, specifications and other details

The base 8GB + 128GB variant of the Moto X40 is priced at RMB 3,399 (approx. Rs. 40,400), while the 8GB + 256GB is priced at RMB 3,699 (approx. Rs. 44,000), the 12GB + 256GB storage variant is priced at RMB 3999 (approx. Rs. 47600), and the 12GB + 512GB variant costs RMB 4299 (approx. Rs. 51100).

The phone is available in black and blue color options. Speaking of specs and features, the Moto X40 gets a 6.7-inch FHD+ curved-screen AMOLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate, DC dimming, and more. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC and runs on Android 13.

The handset supports a triple rear camera setup with a 50-megapixel primary lens, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 12-megapixel telephoto lens. While the front or selfie camera is 60 MP. The Moto X40 packs a 4600mAh battery with 125W fast wired and 15W wireless charging support. Notably, another variant of the phone is also available with a 5,000mAh battery and 68W charging.

Moto G53: price, specifications and other details

The 4GB + 128GB storage variant of the Moto G53 costs RMB 899 (roughly Rs. 10,700), while the 8GB + 128GB storage variant costs RMB 1,099 (roughly Rs. 13,100).

Launched in the budget segment, the Moto G53 5G gets a 6.52-inch HD+ display along with a 120Hz refresh rate. Powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon octa-core chipset, the handset runs on a custom MyUX skin based on Android 13.

The phone comes with a dual camera setup (50MP + 2MP) and an 8MP front camera. The phone packs a 5000mAh battery with 18W fast charge support.
