Celebration of lights

“Celebration of Lights” 4-6pm at the Pahrump Cooperative Extension located at 1651 E. Calvada Blvd. Bring your camera to the festively decorated grounds that master gardeners have prepared for you and your family and preserve the family photos you take for generations to come. Enjoy cocoa or apple cider, cookies or some dehydrated apple rings. Holiday tree care tips will also be featured, as will special guest instructor ML Robinson and learn which evergreens will grow well in the Pahrump Valley. Open to the public, all ages welcome. Community Talent Show

The Pahrump Arts Council sponsors the Community Talent Show at the PVHS auditorium. All ages are welcome to come and enjoy music, dance and skits. All kinds of visual arts will also be on display. “It will be a holiday wonderland of sights and sounds.” The doors will open at 18:30 for the show; show starts at 7:00 PM Tickets $8 per person, or $25 for a family of 4. Avenue B band in Rhinestones

Come experience Avenue B this Friday and Saturday night. The group has mastered a varied repertoire of classic rock, country blues, sweet soul and favourites. Last Saturday for shopping at the Farmers’ Market before the Christmas break

“Shop Local” this Saturday at our Farmer’s Market from 8:30am to Noon at Tractor Supply Co. outside at 900 E. Hwy. 372 (on Bolling Street). Local vendors, farmers and artisans will take a few weeks off to celebrate Christmas and New Years starting this Saturday, but will resume service on January 7, 2023. Last Train to Juarez makes a stop in Pahrump

Veterans Pancake Breakfast

The Pahrump Elks Lodge, 2280 E. Basin Ave., will hold a Veterans Pancake Breakfast from 9 to 11 a.m. The breakfast is free for veterans, but all are invited. They will also have clothing and toiletries for veterans. Additionally, new unwrapped toys and non-perishable food items are being collected at the tribe’s MC and Oasis Outreach lodge.


Desert Song Ensemble’s Christmas concert

Mark your calendar to attend these beautiful Christmas concerts. Phyllis Nefsky on flute and guitar, Patty Henderson on cello and violin and Barbara Edwards on viola will provide an elegant musical experience to color your holiday season. Community Christmas Dinner

The Holiday Task Force will host its annual Christmas dinner on Christmas Eve at the NyE Communities Coalition campus, 1020 E. Wilson Road. It will be a seated dinner, from 11:00 to 14:00

The dinner is free and the whole community is invited to enjoy the meal.

Special message from the VFW publication: “Now through December 18th, bring a new unwrapped toy to the Poster and receive a free cocktail or house draft. The collection is for Toys for Tots. “Because of the bad economy, Toys for Tots is falling behind this year. Let’s try doing better for all the children who could go without this Christmas, without your help. Merry Christmas.”
