Riddles and books for the animal lover – a lovely little book about dogs as they appear in ancient manuscripts, a 12,000-year history of birds and people, and Robert Perišić’s modern day tale A Cat at the End of the World, translated from Croatian. These books and many other unique ones are available at Samizdat Bookstore & Teahouse in Central Park Square for those who came out on Saturday to complete their Christmas shopping. Samizdat opens regular hours on Christmas Eve – 10 am to 6 pm They will be closed on Sunday, Dec. 25 until Wednesday, Dec. 28 to spend time with family. Regular hours will resume on Thursday, December 29 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Gift certificates are available for purchase. Samizdat has an inventory for all ages. Image courtesy
