Shopping local means both personal attention and unique gifts | Jobs Reply

Thanks for the show on Dec. 16 that reminds your readers of the importance of shopping locally (“Buying from small businesses spreads throughout the community”).

Local businesses not only bring jobs and tax dollars to communities, but their owners are people who support local schools, sports teams, bowling leagues, community events and much more. They are the spice of our communities. Without them, our cities and towns would be like any other city or town anywhere in the country. They, too, are a place.

We invite your readers to shop locally today and in the future. We know they will be greeted warmly, receive personalized attention and receive unique gifts that make shopping memorable.

On behalf of the members of Cleveland Shops, the newly formed association of home retailers, we thank you for your support and wish everyone a happy, healthy holiday season and New Year.

For a list of our members and to order gift cards redeemable at any of our member locations, we invite you to visit www.clevelandshops.org.
