T-Mobile lights up standalone ultra-capacity 5G nationwide | Jobs Reply

BELLEVUE, Wash.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–The leader in 5G stands alone. T-Mobile (NASDAQ: TMUS) today announced that it has taken the country’s only nationwide standalone 5G network (5G SA) to the next level, bringing Ultra Capacity 5G to 5G SA to shine nationwide. The move immediately advances T-Mobile’s network – unlocking faster speeds for customers across the country, while further reducing network delays with lower latency, improving applications like games that require near real-time responsiveness. And it’s another big step toward introducing game-changing new applications that will thrive on a pure 5G network.

“5G is having a significant impact today – changing the way people use their smartphones, bringing choice and competition to home broadband, improving disaster preparedness and more… but we’re only scratching the surface of what 5G can do can,” said Neville Ray, president of technology at T-Mobile. “Transformative 5G networks are here, and T-Mobile not only leads the way with the largest, fastest, and most reliable 5G network, it also has the most advanced. We are driving the industry with 5G Standalone, offering customers a level of performance that cannot be achieved any other way.”

New technology. New capacity.

With the move to 5G SA on its Ultra Capacity network, T-Mobile is opening up new opportunities for 5G Carrier Aggregation (NR CA) – which means combining different layers of the 5G spectrum for more speed and capacity. This year, the Un carrier will begin combining three channels of Ultra Capacity 5G, which in tests produced peak speeds of over 3 Gbps (staggeringly fast). Samsung Galaxy S22 customers will be the first to experience this new feature in the coming weeks, and it will be rolled out to more devices in the near future.

T-Mobile is the network leader, delivering a 5G network that’s bigger, faster, and more reliable than any other in the United States. The Un carrier’s extended-range 5G now covers 321 million people across 1.9 million square miles — more than AT&T and Verizon combined. 250 million people across the country are covered with T-Mobile’s super-fast Ultra Capacity 5G, and the Un carrier plans to reach 300 million people with Ultra Capacity next year.
