Trio of Lions win events at Yale Season Opener | Jobs Reply

NEW HAVEN, Conn — The Columbia indoor track and field team participated in the Yale Season Opener Saturday morning and posted strong results. A trio of Lions won their respective events, while nine Columbia student-athletes finished in the top five of the competition.

Already Mia Puryear and McKinlee Morris The first women’s day got off to a great start for the Lions, with the top two finishers in the women’s shot put. Puryear was first with a mark of 13.26 meters, followed by Morris with a result of 12.41 meters.

Lailah Malone She won the women’s shot put with a result of 14.90 meters. It was the other lion who won their event Will O’Brien who won the men’s pole vault with a jump of 4.80 meters.

Seraiah Bruno (pole vault), Yoosang Kim (shoot shot), Nate Gramentine (high jump), Camylin Blake (60 meter hurdles), Chris Balthazar (60-yard dash) and Puryear (shot put), all finished in the top five in their respective events.

ON SHIP: The Lions have a month off before returning to action on Friday, Jan. 13 at the TCNJ Lions Indoor Invite Armory. The competition is scheduled to start at 17:00
