“UP is Airtel’s priority for 5G,” meets Vice Chairman of Bharti Enterprises CM Yogi | Jobs Reply


Bharti Enterprises (Airtel) Vice Chairman Rakesh Bharti Mittal met Prime Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath at the CM residence on Thursday and expressed his willingness to work in UP for data centers, digital banking and vocational training, according to ANI news agency to invest.

In an official statement, the Office of the Chief Minister said talks were held on the implementation of the Digital India Mission, improvement of communication facilities and Bharti Group’s investment proposals in the state.

During the meeting, CM Yogi reiterated his determination for a simple life and said it is our aspiration that every citizen in every village, town and city in the state should have access to education and health services. The use of internet technology is the greatest help.

“The Prime Minister’s Digital India Mission is an important cornerstone for New Uttar Pradesh and New India. Today, as per Prime Minister’s vision, paperless banking service will be made available to remote villages in Uttar Pradesh, with technology in all sectors such as education, health, industry and banking,” said the Chief Minister, as quoted by ANI.

He further described the 5G revolution as of great help in accelerating the building of a new India and commended the efforts of Bharti Enterprises for the availability of quality communications facilities in Uttar Pradesh. He also assured them of the UP government’s support in efforts to improve the state.

“The group is working primarily to enable high level communications services in a state like Uttar Pradesh with a large area and population,” Rakesh Mittal said during the meeting.

The Chief Minister expressed his delight at the launch of the 5G network, saying it will ensure access to education, health and government services with quality. This will prove very useful in bringing rural areas into the mainstream. This should increase employment opportunities.

The vice chairman of Bharti Enterprises said the company is keen to invest in data centers, digital banking and vocational training in Uttar Pradesh and has prepared a full action plan, according to ANI reports.

Rakesh Mittal said Airtel’s 5G services were partially launched in Uttar Pradesh. Very soon all 75 districts of Uttar Pradesh will be able to enjoy 5G high speed internet service.

Rakesh Mittal said: “Bharti Group is working as planned on laying fiber optics to ensure better internet connectivity even in remote areas. In this regard, positive cooperation is expected from the state government.”

He also invited the Bharti Group to attend the planned Uttar Pradesh Global Investors Summit to be held on February 10-12, 2023.
