Maxi’s unlimited roaming data pass is available from RM29

Maxis data roaming tariffs for Singapore

Maxis currently offers multiple 5G data roaming passes in supported countries. The one-day unlimited data pass costs RM29 and there’s also the 7-day ASEAN Unlimited Data Pass, which costs RM49. If you’re traveling to multiple countries for an extended period of time, there’s the 30 Days World Unlimited Data Pass at RM99.

With the unlimited data pass, there is a daily high speed of 2GB and your speed will be reduced to 1Mbps after you reach your daily limit. The FUP is updated daily at 00:00 Malaysian time. Note that the day pass may cost RM38/day in some countries and includes 500MB high speed quota.

The passes can be purchased through the Maxis app and then click on Maxis Roaming under the Services tab. Alternatively, you can dial *100# on your phone and then go to International Roaming, select the country and select one of the available passes.

As we’ve already pointed out, using voice calls on Maxis Postpaid while roaming can cost a hefty fee. In a large number of countries, Maxis automatically activates the RM15 pass for unlimited voice calls even when you make or receive a single call. The RM15 pass is also activated when an incoming call is forwarded to voicemail, so it’s best to turn voicemail off completely before traveling abroad.

You can see full data roaming details for each country on Maxis’ roaming page.
